I won’t go into detail about everything my car needed because it was a lot, but walking into this place and not being someone who is super versed on anything mechanical, I did not feel like this place was going to take advantage of my lack of knowledge to gain more $$ and I felt like my car was being taken care of as if it belonged to the people who worked there. If you have teenagers who are new drivers or even if you are someone like me who feels anxious about going to places like this because you know you don’t know very much, this place is definitely for you or them. Both Fred (the area manager) and Julia (I’m not sure of her position) were incredibly amazing, friendly, funny, helpful, and patient. Fred even looked up my cars value for me right there in the shop. They explained things thoroughly for me and gave me as much detailed information as possible so that I could make the right decisions without any pressure or feeling overwhelmed, again by lack knowledge in this expertise. They provided updates on everything going on with my car within the shop, sent me a link over text that gave me access to full descriptions of what they found and had photos along with it, and even the business itself just felt incredibly welcoming. Another perk to this place is, if you come here and don’t feel like waiting a few hours for your vehicle they even have a shuttle service that will take you to where you need to go within a certain a mile range and will pick you back up afterwards. Or if you feel like hanging out the area they have set up for waiting is comfortable, stocked with drinks, and is within a place where you can monitor everything going on with your vehicle. AND they are kid friendly! This was the best service I have ever experienced when dealing with ANYTHING automotive. And after everything, my car feels safe to drive the 3500 miles I need to go in this next month! I am so thankful for Silverlake automotive and I only wish I could take them with me everywhere I go!
