Coeur d'Alene Auto Repair

At one point I would have given this place a five-star review but after returning for a recent repair job I have to change my mind. I don't think I will be returning. I was charged a great deal of money for a repair and I spent $2,020 under the impression that it was the cost of the repair itself and only the repair plus parts and service including an oil change. The repair job that I needed was replacing my O2 pump and a few other replacements. I actually never agreed to getting my car aligned and I was charged for that and I also never agreed to get one of my wheel nuts replaced and I was charged but that as well. I feel like they conned me out of my money. I am a student who is not making very much and just basically gave away half of my savings to this company to do a job that admittingly they did very well but I was misled and ended up paying more than I actually needed to. They definitely would have done me a great favor had they not gone ahead and done an adjustment that I didn't ask for. I knew that the repair job was going to be expensive but for me every little bit counts right now and they should not have tacked on some additional repairs that I didn't explicitly approve of. I wish I had not signed that paper and had noticed that they charged an alignment before I had signed because I would have disputed the charge. The repair job was done great but I'm just really dissatisfied with them squeezing that extra little bit of money out of someone who has almost nothing to their name. As if the original amount I would have already been paying wasn't already enough. Please, in the future be more honest and explicit with your customers and tell them everything you intend to charge them for so they can tell you whether or not they can afford certain repairs or services.

Thank you for the 5 star review.

Great service as usual

Silverlake to the rescue again. They provided me a great explanation of what needed to be fixed and why. And it cost less than what they quoted me. This is a fantastic shop and I trust them fully with my truck and car.

Very rarely do I give 5 stars. No-one is perfect. But I must admit, I was impressed. That is no easy feat. It was nice getting a "to-do" list of things that would need attention to keep my car functioning perfectly. I liked the idea that things were put in order of urgency. I am very comfortable trusting Silverlake Automotive with my car. I will recommend them to everyone.

I was referred by a lady on NextDoor App and couldn’t be happier! They fixed my oil leak that I have taken in to several places before. They even have referral bonuses which was extra nice! Very friendly service and didn’t try to sell me on things I don’t need.
